Maya, as well as this whole computer in general, has been extremely frustrating. Everything is slow and bogged down, even if Maya isn't running.

10/20/15 Rocket Stuff

This class was a nice touch up for the parachutes and getting them all done, then I set up the batch render. It'll require a little bit of compilation before giving it to George, but it'll be given to him before the end of the meeting.

Rocket Rough Animation


Got a solid animation up for the launch. It's still missing some more details and better lighting, but this is just a nicer rough draft. Specifically, this is an image from the animation because I can't directly upload large videos to blogger.

9/9/15

I got to do some updates for the whole class to fix mental ray, so that was fun. I had set up an HDR in the scene I was making for the rocket take off, but rendering didn't work with mental ray. After that, I fixed some stuff and got a nice looking render in to give to George.

Got some rivets textured onto the base, but as of current I plan on making them a bit smaller. I ran out of time to do this today, so it'll likely be the last part of my final. Lookin' pretty good though.

Hubble, making progress

Getting general progress done on modeling Hubble, I do have  a few questions about what I should do, such as level of detail and such. I'm getting progress on the generic pieces and not going too far detailed to afoid having done it for nothing.

Photoshop Rhino Zebra

Had to start over on the zebra because of something. I'm not really enjoying photoshop that much and would heavily prefer to do projects in Maya. I realize that it can be an important skill but I just can't do it.
