This was just me using the galaxy paint brushes on my own. I think the brush tool is incredibly useful and could win me awards. The individual stars can be animated, as well as the painted line they're attached to.
I've literally been trying to batch render this whole time. I started at the beginning of class, and after the whole period, only 93 of the 150 frames have finished. I'll leave it on after class.
Not going to do a picture today, it'll be practically the same thing as before. The text is almost done, few more steps and I can start the batch render. I had a few problems with parts that didn't make sense, as always.
I had to restart the project because a bunch of things had to be changed. I should be able to finish next class, and start to re-write the tutorial. I'm thinking that, when I finish; I can batch render, compile, import it to adobe premiere, reverse the video, and post it to YouTube with my own tutorial.
Working on having particles come together to form words, I got the tutorial from http://cgi.tutsplus.com/tutorials/animate-a-logo-forming-from-particles-in-maya--cg-1810 and plan on using this for a few things.
As of recently, I've been working on getting fluids done. This is the final tutorial from Autodesk about fluids. As you can see in the image, I'm doing a batch render to get a well done animation of the supernatural floating cube.
This tutorial was on creating a 3D container for fluids, painting density and fuel on the bottom three layers, painting temperature in the middle, and hitting play. It created a combustion.
Working on modeling and rendering a wine glass with water inside, then later creating and rendering an animation of the wine glass swirling the water around, or maybe the water being poured into the glass from above. Maybe a glass pitcher.

I think we've found something I can make a Sci-Vis animation about that is interesting, visual, educational, and has a side benefit of earning a skill that could easily get me a job.
